Waiting for Case Completion at NVC

Is it bad that I just hung up on a rep that has already given me the 20 day hoopla? I knew what his response would be so I just hung up and started over LOL. This is what I'm reduced to hanging up on people who aren't going to give me the news I want!

It doesn't really matter. The Operator can't even see if your packet is being processed while it is being processed. this is the only time the AVR will have updated message than the Operator (AVR stated that they received the documents in response to the check list while those were being processed but the Operator didn't know anything about). Just chill.

Well I called back and the fella told me it was reviewed and it's all good. Just waiting on the info from the DS230 now. I told him it was delivered last week just waiting for someone to get to it. Ahhhh 1 step closer!

I turned in my marriage certificate show the date of marriage is 28th of January. when I filed the I-130 i put the 27th because i used the date that vice president signed the marriage certificate, so the I-130 and DS-230 don't match.

do you mean the date he signed the marriage LICENSE? or the certificate? I cannot imagine someone signing a certificate before the marriage actually takes place.

marriage date is the day you actually got married. Not the day you applied for or received the marraige licence.

oh dear. I am so sorry. It's supposed to take 6 to 8 weeks before you call the NVC. Or... actually, 20 days. 20 business days before they processs your packet.

Just called NVC...got the 20 days jibberish...asked her to be real...operator said nothing yet. Give it a few more days and check towards the end of the week.

NVC got my checklist on Friday and they've been hassling me since wednesday to give them the checklist. I got two false RFE's for the same exact checklist. They must be on it! At least they're working on my case. It's been about 3 days since they've had my checklist and it feels like FOREVER. I'm hoping I can get a CC by the end of the week. Is it still doable?

IV has been faster AOS .. Mine arrived on the first (in the afternoon) and was done on the ninth (morning) so.. six business days for mine but I've seen faster.. I'm sending constant mental messages towards New Hampshire "Do the IV Packets for Colombia" If it happens by Friday we will have positive proof I have ESP! Here's Hoping!

13 days is the record for NVC in to NVC complete.

This was a non-expedite case.

I would also figure the AOS would take longer as the tax documents we all send in is far more difficult to decipher thru than the DS-230 packet.

With Å's & my checklist responses (such a polite term for $70 of ridiculousness) - arriving Fri Aug 12 (AOS) and Tues Aug 16 (IV) - I think we're on the same timeframe again, Dave & Kinnari.

if there are any blank fields where THEY don't want them (or for some people: discrepancies in data), you get an RFE aka "checklist" and you have to send an updated & signed new copy (aka "checklist response") to them. and dont forget that barcoded coversheet!
