By the way there was curve ball thrown in one of thread regarding typing and printing name - meaning we are supposed print our name in I-864 with pen. in Item 30 of page 7. I just typed the full name and didn't write it with black ink by hand. One of them said that he/ she got a RFE. Any thoughts from those that got their AOS approved.

Oh I WONDERED about that!!! Darn it! I shoudl have just written out my full name next to the typed one. Husband & I thought: instructions woudl say "hand print" if they meant by hand. I DO know to use blue ink signatures so it doens't look like photocopy!

I think we woudl hear more about that if that were TRULY an issue. Then again, they didn't accept my blank income field... grrrr...

So, remember how I was supposed to get an RFE? Well, apparently it's a false one...they told me that my second RFE was for me to send my first one. What? Anyway, my checklist got there today (a day late! thanks usps!). They have reviewed my IV and it's done. They're just waiting for my checklist and I should have CC! I can't wait 'till next week when I get the good news!

I set up a new thread asking about AOS page 7 #30. so far typing full name (esp. in CAPS) seems fine.

I feel as though I am watching icicles melt... drip... drip... slow, but still exciting.

This evening I am excited to report the AVR message changed to

"The NVC has received the checklist letter response on August 12, 2011.

Please allow 6-8 weeks for review of this information

and then YOU will be notified."

6 to 8 weeks my foot!!!

Maybe they are reviewing the ds-230 and haven't actually opened the "AOS RFE fresh copy the mailroom got today." darn.

At last. Woke up to an email from NVC, interview date Sept 29. The DOS operator told me yesterday, but I wanted to wait for it in writing.

I was hoping for earlier, but at least it's September. I guess I can't be too greedy at this point. Best of luck to all my fellow VJers!

Total - Mail I-130 until interview date = 8 months 9 days

Total - NVC received packet from CSC until interview email = 1 month 7 days

And now I see some CSC NOA2s in 30 days. I'm happy for their good fortune, just wish I had the same!

And now I see some CSC NOA2s in 30 days. I'm happy for their good fortune, just wish I had the same!

I would be lying if I said I don't covet the 20 day NOA2, the 3 day transfer from CSC-NVC, the 1 day invoices, and the 1 days "PAID".

However, there are people who envy our position. There are: Those who are banned for life for one reason or another. Those who are too poor to pay the fees and transportation costs. Those whose cases are put through AP, and dragged along so slowly. Those who hire lawyers with greedy intent. Those who were told they won the diverstity lottery but then had that taken away b/c the methodology was completely flawed. My heart goes out to all of them. It gives me a modicum of humility and heaping helping of perspective.

Now come on NVC. Open the dang updated AOS! :) -M

Completely agree, we have to keep in perspective. Here is another to add to the list: if you are in a same sex relationship you don't qualify for the visa. THEN, if you get married, you don't qualify for a work visa EITHER! the work visas are not immigrant visas, so you have to prove that you don't intend to immigrate. But if your spouse is a US citizen, they won't believe you.

That is so crazy wrong.

It is strange & Interesting. Today (8/13) I get another RFE with same reason as in first received on 8/11 - NVC reviewed DS230 and has not received AOS packet.... And the AVR states that NVC has received the checklist information.

The link between NVC email system (and Operator) and AVR system don't match. NVC really needs some help.......
