Focus of attention on K-1 process

A question I do have which is sort of relevant. I never pursued a college education as I never found the time to fit it in with my work commitments. It's something I'm thinking about down the line. Would that count against me with regards to my future employability?

With regards to your education: having a college education or not having one is not a factor in the K-1 process, as far as I can see. My fiance has only a high school education, and I do not believe that this will be a problem for him, and I am certain that he will be able to find a job when he comes here to the US.

Good luck to you :)

I think it's a split. They focus on the Petitioner's Financial capability to support a potential wife and future family and then they focus on the Petitionee's Background to see if there would be Red Flags along the way. And then they focus on the Petitioner and the Petitionee's relationship during the interview process. That's just what I have observed in my case and may not be true for all.

Or in some cases, the Petitioner's financial capability of supporting her potential husband. ;) haha

....

Back to OP, everyone said what I would say. From what I understand they do a background check on both. But it seems once the Petition is approved and it goes into the later stages, there's more done on the Beneficiary (medical exam, immunization records, police records, etc.)

Evening all,

Just trying to get my head around all of the information on the site.

During the process is the focus on the 'petitioner' or the 'petitionee', or is it split? Do they look more into the background of one over the other?

It's not really important - I'm more curious than anything to be honest.

USC will get a background check etc., look for prior immigration issues etc. The beneficiary will get major check, background, legal, criminal, immigration, organizations etc. Follow the guides.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.
