AOS sent July 22, no NOA until now

I have few questions about my AOS package. We sent it July 22 on the day that my I-94 expires. Would it affect my AOS? And also, i am wondering why until now they havent sent me the NOA. In the AOS package, we sent a check amounting to 1070$ but hubby said USCIS cant en-cash the check yet because it wouldn't be enough until Aug 1st. So I am thinking is it the reason why they haven't sent us any notification yet? How long is the expected number of of days on receiving the NOA1? I am pretty worried already :(

I wouldn't worry much yet. I have read that some waited 2-4 weeks before the AOS check was cashed. I also sent my fiancée's AOS on the last day her I-94 was valid (July 29th). It was postmarked on the 29th so all should be good.

We are in the three week boat at this point. Our EAD/AP/AOS package for my wife and stepson was signed for by a USCIS representative on July 13, but we have not received any notifications nor have the checks been cashed. And until 30 days are up, there is not much to do but wait. Ann and I are just chilling out until next week. If we haven't heard anything by then, we will go bother the USCIS Script Readers. :)

I don't have the link, but there is a thread about this very topic in this forum (I think it is currently hovering around "page 3" of the forum). While some people are getting very rapid responses from USCIS, others are taking almost a month. Someone postulated that it could be regular post versus express, but most of the folks in this forum are here because they are anxious for things to go well and go quickly so most have used express.

Take care and God bless you on the rest of your journey.

What do you mean "USCIS cant en-cash the check yet because it wouldn't be enough until Aug 1st"? As in not enough money in the account? In that case they will send the whole packet back, they will not wait and try to cash it again when you have enough money in your account.

But like others said, wait 30 days, the line is long, your turn will come soon.

Well, just a quick update. We received the texts (6) and e-mails (6) yesterday afternoon confirming that USCIS had accepted the AP, EAD, and AOS packages for Ann and Daine. :) Will probably notice my checking account is $1,705 lighter come Monday, but well worth it. :D For the record it was exactly three weeks from the date that our FedEx package was received at the Chicago Lockbox mailroom (the texts even state July 13 as the received date).

Take care and God bless!
