I'm in the process of putting together our packet for AOS

I've basically got the list bellow: just wanted to be sure I didn't need any extra stuff, like declerations, extra photos or anything like that, mostly as the instructions arent clear for when you file for AP and EAD along with AOS

I will have:

1. Check in the amount of $1070.00 for application fee (Form I-485 and Biometrics).

2. Form G-1145, E-notification of Application/Petition acceptance

3. Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.

4. Copy of non US Citizen’s passport (Biographical page, Visa, Entry Stamps).

5. Copy of non-US Citizen’s I-94.

6. I-797, Notice of action – approved application/petition form I-129F.

7. Copy of Birth Certificate of non-US Citizen.

8. Copy of Certificate of Marriage.

9. Form G-325A Biographic Information filled out by non-US Citizen, signed and dated.

10. Two passport-type photos of the non-US Citizen Spouse.

11. Form I-693 Medical Examination of Alien seeking adjustment of status

12. Form I-864, Affidavit of Support and Supporting documents

o US Tax Return forms W2 of the most recent tax year of US Citizen

o Bank Statement as evidence of assets for financial support

13. Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization.

14. Form I-131, Application for Travel Document.

Thanks

You need (6) total. (2) for I-485, (2) for I-765, and (2) for I-131.

Where are the supporting documents for the I-765 and I-131? There are separate attachments, and separate photos. See the AOS guide in my signature.

According to your link it's all stuff thats already in the package, copys of passport info and i-94, etc

So much for reducing unnecasary paperwork, the instructions for the forms make a big deal of reducing paperwork. I'd read you only need one G-1145 for all three forms.

Either way, it's not a big deal printing out a few extra pages.

I'll probably do a single covering letter and spead the forms into 3 sub-packets

That's the thing.. they ARE three separate packets. They are separated when they arrive at chicago which is why each application, AOS, AP and EAD, should have all their documentation for each packet, not combined.

You do only need one G-1145 but I included 3 because that form was only new when I filed mine so there was no guide on what to do with it.

So its okay to include one of those and one cheque, and duplicate up the other stuff?

Thats not too bad, just got to get married and get my last injection done and I can apply before you know it

Yep. 1 G-1145, 1 check for $1070 and then separate the packets into their three packets (can be mailed together though) and it will all be fine.
