Nope, NVC has no control of our case once an interview has been scheduled and shipped to consulate/embassy

yes my question is since NVC schedules interviews do they have control to bump someone up in the queue and down in the queue? since i got a very late interview date and some people who got NVC case complete close to my date got scheduled very early than me?

my question is simple:

Does anyone here know if NVC reps have the authority to bump someone up or down in the queue while waiting for the interview scheduling? for some weird reason my interview date has been scheduled very far off from my case completion date whereas others with similar case completions dates for the same consulate are getting way earlier dates than me? how is that possible?

Now the ball is in US Consulate's hand. Sometime they acceed to such request depending on their load. Try with them.

My understanding is that NVC does not schedule interviews. They collect all documents and forward them to the US Embassy. The US Embassy is the one that sets the interview date based on their availability. Than NVC comes back to you and gives you the date that is been appointed by the consulate.NVC have no control over the interview date they are just the middle man or the messenger if you like

This is true in almost all cases. But NVC is not just a messenger - the order in which they provide the cases to US Consulates dictates the interview dates, as only NVC knows when a case has been completed. US Consulate gets the papers after the interview date has been decided.

I agree with you and that is what i heard from them as well that once they get the availability/slots information from embassy/consulate NVC uses the queue system to schedule the interviews in that order but again my question here is since NVC schedules the interviews does the NVC reps have control over the queue to bump someone up or down?

NVC will never do that for obvious reasons. However US Consulates does that sometimes depending on certain criterion - like health reason or due to a postphonement of a interview by someone...... And I saw that in a very few cases.

Once you get your interview communicate, try with the Consulate and you may be lucky.
