Phase 2 is until you reach your target weight (I'm in this phase now)

Phase 3 is after you reach your target

I recommend picking up the book and reading it if you want to start. Easy read. I feel great!!

You're not constipated? I tried that and within two weeks or so I was so constipated it hurt like hell.

As far as I know, South Beach is more veggie based and Atkins diet is high in protein. The veggie diet, if anything, will help things flow through!

So South Beach won't make my a$$ hurt?

If you find yourself on the wrong side of South Beach, at the wrong time, with the wrong crowd, your a$$ could be in quite some pain.

Stick to it!!. I weighed myself on day one and then on day 16. I didn't want to weigh myself every day.

It's hard for my Thai wife to understand that I won't be eating too much rice from now on.

The Thai word for rice is the same word for 'meal' . So they say "have you eaten rice yet?" Is it the same in India?

They say to not eat more than a tennis ball size portion.

It's the same in eastern India, yes. My family is Bengali from Calcutta. To us, food equals rice.

I did the SB diet too. I lost about 15 pounds but have gained about 5 of it back since Javier came home. We tend to eat a little too much junk when he is here. I really need to start back on it. My pants are starting to get a little tighter than I would like. The SB diet is really easy to follow too. It's more like a lifestyle change, not so much of a diet.

Thank you rch99! I will look at this book when I get off work today... I want to lose some weight too... and the atkins did NOT work for me... ugh! (same thing happened to me that happened to AS... ouchies!) I appreciate you sharing the link!

Hmm that sounds interesting. My problem is I can't loose much weight or the wedding dress will be too big and they can only alter it down so much with the way it's designed! Guess I gotta wait till after the wedding......
