As far as visa is concerned you have 6 months to enter USA once visa has been issued and considering you have not received the NOA2 it will still be a while before the interview.

As far as the CRBA it takes 1-2 weeks to process. You will also want to apply for the childs USA passport the same time you apply for CRBA. There could be a couple delays. First, you will need to wait for birth certificate which can take up to 1 month depending on where you live. Second, I have a friend that was required to get a DNA test for their CRBA because they were not yet married so they needed proof that baby belonged to the US citizen. It depends on how much proof you have that you and your fiancee were together at time of conception, but still since you are not married they might require the DNA test. When you apply for CRBA bring as much proof as you have regarding your relationship with your fiancee and they will tell you if you need to get a DNA test. DNA test does not take long, but takes 5-7 days to get results. At least that's how long it took for my friend to get his results.

Mahirap mag apply ng CRBA at US passport its because of the requirement and documents that you have to show....Ang importante, my matibay kng proof na my relationship kayo ng father niya before the conception..In my experience,i organized my pictures and supporting documents from the beginning of our relationship until the present when we applied, and the consul really appreciate it.And even we were not married(k1)we didnt undergo for dna testing anymore.Since infant pa ang baby mo by the time na mag aapply ka,dapat i keep mo nat iorganized yung pictures, letters, love notes(dated).Kasi mostly na ddna eh ung infants pa ang baby so ang hhanapin sau, proof that you already have a strong relationship before you got pregnant...Matatapos ka din sa pagpprocess just wait ok?

Most K1 visa applicants applying for CRBA for their child who are required to have DNA are those who are not married yet(of course that's why it's K1).

I did my CRBA in 2008 and never had a problem since i was already a green card holder that time and i just went home to give birth.

To those who are planning to apply for CRBA,, u need to start gathering all proofs of relationship between u and the father of ur child.

U need pregnancy records from the time the child is concieved, proof of relationship with the biological father, .keep all pre natal records coz the consul will ask that. Hosptal receipts is also a big help. Ultrasound and evrything that has to do with pregnancy.

My CRBA only took 10 days from the time i submitted the application till i got my son's US passport.

And one last thing..u can only start processing CRBA as soon as u have the Child's Birth Certificate.

Good luck to all .
