Hi! I would like to know where does the Oath letter mailed from? Is it mailed from USCIS Missouri or from local CIS? And also, do they usually update the status online ? I've read from other people that their status didn't changed. They just got the Oath letter... just curious and for peace of mind :)

Goodluck to us all!

Once they have approved your case (apparently, a supervisor or a higher position has to approve the case even after passing the tests and interview), your status online should tell you that they have placed you under oath ceremony queue, then it will change to oath ceremony has been scheduled (that's when they will mail you the notice). Right now, my status online said "under oath ceremony que" since June 29...

I heard that the case status online is not always updated.

Whether you get your US citizenship or not is solely at the discretion of your field office. Chain of command is your IO, his supervisor, and the field office manager.

To the best of my knowledge, that anyone here can correct, we use to send our N-400 to one of the four service centers that was changed to these lock boxes. Someone there must look it over, then forwards it to Missouri, that is where we received our biometrics appointment. Then sent to you local field office where they make your appointment for your interview.

I know our field office prints out your certificate, if errors are made, they can correct it. Better check it over carefully before leaving, if you do leave with errors, will cost you 400 bucks and a long wait.

Their online system for N-400 applications seems to be much better. So far, I have yet to hear from some member that they just received some letter without an update online... so you should expect to receive an email with an update online and then receive the actual letter...

Anyway, should get your oath letter from your field office. Now do some field offices update your status? We only gotten as far as they received our application, the lock box. But already knew that, they cashed our check. Rest of our time was spent camped out by our mail box.

While the Case Status online didn't work well with others, I am fortunate and happy to say that it has been very consistent and dependable with me from the time we did K1 to N-400.

Hi Nick, I have been getting updates from them since sending my application. I got my stutus update last July 29 that I'm in line for the oath scheduling. Just wondering if the oath letter will come from Reno... And I guess I am the only applicant from Reno and hard for me to do some comparison ;)

This exactly sounds like my case, had interview on 06/16, status still at interview and no oath letter yet.

Very frustrating!

Hi Sharef, I am in the same boat, can you give more detalis please. Here is mine:

I had my N400 interview on June/13/2011 in NC.I passed the test, but the I.O said he needs to have a supervisior look at it,so I got N652:Decision cannot be made at this time!

Its almost 8 weeks now, and the online status is"UNDER SUPERVISIOR REVIEW". I called USCIS,they told me to call them back once its been 90 days after the interview!, they also told me that USCIS have 120 days after the interview to render a decision.

My N400 is based on a 3 years marriage to a US citizen,I had my driver license suspended in 1989, and in 1994"17 and 22 years ago". All were taken care off, provided court record at the green card interview, and sent the same with my N400 application On Feb/2011.The officer did did not ask for any evidence relating to this or any other like tax, proof of marriage/all were sent at the application.

I have been checking cases similar on the web here is what I got:

1.MAKE AN INFO PASS AFTER 90 DAYS.

2. ANY TIME YOU HAVE AN ARREST OR RECORD, CASE WILL MOST LIKELY BE REVIEWED BY A SUPERVISIOR.

3. USCIS HAVE 120 DAYS TO DECIDE,AFTER 120 DAYS YOU CAN FILE FORM DHS-7001/OMBUDSMAN CASE PROBLEM SUBMISSION.

4.YOU CAN CONTACT YOUR SENATOR.

5.FILE A WRIT OF MANDAMUS AT THE COURT"DO IT YOURSELF BECAUSE LAWYERS CHARGE BETWEEN $1500-2500.
