Hi guys, I have a question. Has anyone been placed in line for interview for almost a month and still dont have an appointment? I read in the other topic that after they send you a letter where they put you in line for the interview USCIS usually send the notice with the date of the interview short after that. I was placed in line for interview on the 7th of july, and still dont have an appointment. Any advice?

I think if 30 days pass, you can call and place a service request. It could be 45 days but you can still call. If you are calling too early, they will tell you how long you need to wait before you can call....

Normally, or should I say in my case, after receiving an online status of "in line for interview", they sent me another update letting me know that the interview has been scheduled and that the notice will be mailed. Then the letter comes in the mail within 7 days.

My husband will be deployed the fist week of September for 2 long years, and I have to leave our current duty station because he wont be attached to it anymore. NSC did everything very quick because of the situation but now it seems to be stuck at the Immigration office.

You should probably do an InfoPass... you're upcoming situation should be good enough for them to do something about your case.

From what i've read the time varies in this stage depending on how busy the local office is. I've been in line for interview since June 6. It wasnt until recently I started noticing some movement for people with similar timeline in my local office - NYC. That being said, i'd call to see whats going on. I plan to do that sometime this week.

July 28 isn't so bad especially when the 30th and 31st were weekend. I'd be really worried if it has been 3 months since they placed you under interview scheduling, like some cases I have seen so far.

Hmmm, My case was different. I got an e.mail saying that Naples was processing my case and that I had to wait 7 working days and then I had to call them and make an appointment for my interview. My appointment date was a month later. I don't know about this being placed in line.

I'm in the US, I applied from the US my husband is stationed here, and his next duty station is unacompanied, which means I'm PCS as well, because when the service member has unacompanied orders, the dependents may choose to live anywhere in the US.

Are you doing N-400 or K1? Looks like you're under K1 so this "in line" thing doesn't really apply to you.

I totally agree. It took me exactly 2 mos since being put inline for interview scheduling until i received an email notification for interview. The The wait kills you especially if you see others with same DO and similar timeline are already scheduled.
