My grand father has been retired more than ten years ago .

Does he need to fill an affidavit of support for her daughter to come to the USA or all he needs a cosponsor

Cause somebody told all he need is a cosponsor he doesn't have to fill an I 864 . And another person told all he needs is a cosponsor and a letter stating that he is retired.

I don't know what to do can u guys help me out please.

Sounds like you need to stop asking people who don't know anything about US immigration. :blush:

The petitioner is the primary sponsor, and the primary sponsor always submits an I-864 - no exceptions. Without a primary sponsor there can be no joint sponsor.
