I went to the local IRS office and got my tax transcripts and W2s printed. However, they look as though they've been printed off a website and not "official" at all. You can see a web address at the top. I thought I remembered reading that people had theirs stamped. Are these ok to bring? I don't have the W2s that are the breakaway ones you get sent from work, just the printed ones along with the transcripts from the IRS.

Thanks for your clarification!

Well if you have time you can go to the IRS website and request them through mail they take about 5-10 business days or you can ask them to have them fax to you. I had mine sent through the mail and they are very professional looking bascially a summary of the actually 1040 although I gave my fiance both my 1040 and W2 of 2010 tax year plus tax transcripts for the for 2010, 2009, 2008 just in case they ask him he has it all.

My tax transcripts say "Internal Revenue Service" at the top, with their insignia next to it. Does yours have this, even if there is a URL at the very top of the page? Transcripts from the IRS have all the information included in them, and there should be no need for separate W-2s.
