Documents Lost Between USCIS and NVC?

Amigos,

Has anyone ever had their documents not show up at NVC after having been approved (NOA2) at USCIS? The folks at NVC have asked for my NOA2 evidence because were in the fourth week now since approval at USCIS and we're not in the system.

I am wondering if a) this has happened to you; and b) how long it took to solve the problem? Did they contact you and say, "hey, we found it" or did they just forward it on?

This is all the more disappointing because we had made good progress with USCIS, getting our NOA 1&2 in just 80 days.

All good wishes,

Lamancha

I am currently having the exact same issue with NVC. 4 weeks since it was sent from USCIS and NVC says they don't have it or know where it is. They had me scan and send a copy of my NOA2 to nvcrecieve.gov - that was last week and still no word. Somebody is really dropping the ball over there. Don't worry, it will show up.

In 2007 my NOA2 was stored in an 'offsite storage facility' instead of being sent to NVC. I found out after contacting my congressman. USCIS finally sent me a new NOA2, and I got a letter from the VSC director explaining where it was stored and case number letter from NVC. I imagine getting the letter from the VSC director was because of my congressman. That was probably 2 months after the inital NOA2.

That being said I think you should wait at least another 3 weeks or so cause you may still get the case number from NVC. Good luck.

NOA1 - 12/21/15

NOA2 - 04/18/16

NVC Receive - 04/29/16

NVC Welcome - 05/13/16

DS-261 - 05/14/16

AOS, IV PAID - 05/27/16

DS260 done - 06/10/16

Case Transferred to US Embassy in Riga Latvia at the end of October.

If you really want it, you'll find a way!

No worries as far as your case being lost.. but unfortunately there is a logjam between USCIS and NVC right now. I don't think there has been a single July NOA2 from California USCIS get an NVC case number yet.. Getting close though! There have been a couple of June 30th. You will hopefully get through by the end of next week.

I just got an email this morning that they found it. So, 32 days from when it was sent. I'm sure yours will be coming any day now!
