Hey all, my wife's case at the NVC was closed on 7/26. Any guesses as to when they might schedule an interview? I'm guessing August is out of the question. Hoping for September!

Not sure what the wait time is for Montreal right now, so I'm not sure if September is a possibility.

But in terms of when it might be scheduled....I just read a post where their case was completed July 29th and they received their interview date email today. I also have three friends that have all gotten their interview dates in the last couple of days (but they all had their CC in early July).

Not sure about that consulate but just to give you an idea my case closed on July 18 and interview scheduled for Sept 28, way over two months waiting but you might get lucky and get a earlier date for your consulate. It all depends on how the NVC puts you in the queue and your consulate availability.

Hope you get a fast date.

Wow, that's not even two business days. At this point I'll be happy just getting a date so I have something to look forward to instead of all these unknowns.

Thanks guys!

So, if my wife gets approved at the interview, how long after will she be able to travel to the US?

She will need to wait for her passport to be returned with the visa insert as well as the "DO NOT OPEN" envelope that she presents to the CBP officer at her POE. You can check out this thread in the Canada forum for recent timelines. Waiting for Passports from Montreal

Are you registered with DHL?

I got my Visa 72 hr after the interview. You can travel as soon as you get the Visa in hand. Some arrive very fast like mine did but I have heard three weeks sometimes too. Just make sure you are registered with the courier DHL.
