we we're thinking to get a co sponsor because my fiancee's contract in the military will end this august and his not planning to renew his contract so by the time of my interview he doesn't have a work anymore until he gets back to hawaii with me and our son. when he gets to hawaii thats the time that his going to look for another job other than being a military again. but we are already completing the I-134 and he still used his work as a military in the form I-134. is that okay? or we should leave it blank since he is leaving soon.? because before he leaves japan his sending me all the documents i need for the interview but i don't have yet an interview schedule still waiting for my case number.

The I-134 needs to be correct at the time of interview. So if your fiance will be unemployed on that date, he needs to put that. Depending on his unemployment check and assets, he may be able to still sponsor you, or may need a co-sponsor. Be aware that Manila usually doesn't accept co-sponsors for K1.

Hi, we have the same situation. :) my fiance is in the military right now and will be out in like 2 months. maybe same time as my interview.. We cant get a co-sponsor because its not usually accepted here in manila. So he will just have to find a job right after he leaves military. Maybe your fiance can do the same, don't risk it. Does he really need to wait for you to go with him before he can find another job?

My husband is in a military too and went RESERVE 3 months before my interview and went to school using army's benefit like GI Bill and stuff, so he doesnt have income really but on my interview I submitted latest form 1040, reserve army pay stub, and army employment status showing his contract date in the RESERVE unit, his bank statements and W-2. And had a back up form 1040 and W-2's for the past 2 years just in case they'll ask which they didnt. Include assets too like cars or house on I-134.

And explaining your situation on a letter or like a cover letter. Like a promise he is doing his best to go get a job or to better himself so he can provide you. But I know every situation is unique and it works for us and now we are happily together and married and expecting a baby soon.

Good Luck!

In all the world you'll never find a love as true as mine

yeah that's what I've heard they don't accept co sponsor. That's why I'm worried about it. But we're getting his sister in law who is a US citizen to sponsor just in case he doesn't meet the income required. Or maybe he can write a letter stating he promise to get a job as soon as possible for him to support me and our kids etc etc something like that and to be notarize. do you think that will work?
