I received the notice that my NOA2 has been sent to me and that I am approve. I want to get started on the next set of documents/forms needed. Can someone please tell me what is needed so that I can get started before NOA2 arrives in the mail. I want to continue this process and be done with it as soon as possible. Can anyone share any information as to what is needed next?

Thanks,

After NOA2.....

1) Try to call NVC after 2-3 weeks and inquire if they receive your petition and ask for your case number.

2) Case number will be use for your medical.

3) The NVC will actually send your fiance a letter containing your case number and telling you that your case will be forwarded to your respective consulate. But do not wait for letter it will take time to mail, better you have your case number earlier by calling the NVC so you can start for your medical.

4) Download and Fill-up DS forms (ds156, ds156k and ds157)

5) Tell your fiance to send you his affidavit of support (ITR,W2)

6) Start gathering documents you need for your interview. (pictures, emails, call logs, chat logs)

7) Once your case received in your consulate they will inform you or send you a letter telling you that you are eligible for medical and interview. (There are some cases that the beneficiary doesnt receive this letter, so better calling the embassy and inquire them if your case already in their system)

Hope this will help...

GOD bless and GOODluck. Hope you will have a smooth process as you go!!

Question, please?? My lawyer is helping me with preparing all of the paperwork that is needed by the NVC office once I get a letter from them with a case #. However, my lawyer said once I get the letter from the NVC office to forward it to her and she will prepare something called "G235" or something like that then mail it to the NVC office. Now when does the medical step come in?? After I get a case number or what? Please, explain!! Thank you so much!

The medical step comes in once a letter is received from the embassy. The embassy will let you know what is needed (including the medical)for the interview and the medical will need to be completed before the interview takes place.
