congrats!!

To quotes a movie, “So how does it happen, great love? Nobody knows... but what I can tell you is that it happens in the blink of an eye. One Moment you're enjoying your life, and the next you're wondering how you ever lived without them.” I felt I found something with Kieu that is rare in life... true love.

Yeah visa is hand, sorry yours is taking so long man. We paid $1070 for a ticket on EVA. Considering I just paid 1290 for a round trip, I think that's insane how much the one way is. You are a braver soul than I for buying your tickets without the visa, when were you suppose to pick them up?

did you just pick up visa and bought ticket for 8/5? i can't believe seats are still available...

we are due to pick up our visa on wednesday. what i did not know was the consulate took the passport to apply the visa sticker. when i went to buy tix they asked for passport #, date of issue and date of expiration. i searched around and remembered the ds-156 had those exact info on the form...luckily i had a copy (as the interview requested) and brought it back to the US with me and didn't throw it away.

congrats on the PINK btw. i'm probably the last interview in may to finally gotten pink. other VJ similar to me like jerry/fiona and vinceN etc have their wives over for awhile already.

Yeah, as soon as we got pink we started to look for tickets. My SO went to a travel agent in HCM, we were able to reserve a seat and they let us pay upon receipt of our visa, which was Aug 1 VN time. We are talking literal one point to the next.

There are tickets still available on various other airlines. Check out TripAdvisor and Kayak to get a sense of other tickets. The travel agent route I still think is the cheapest.

the infant seems to complicate things. i searched thru orbitz. no infant they'd send me a different (cheaper) set of results while w/infant it's a whole new thing. oh well it's done hopefully. i tried to reserve the seat until wed. but eva would not let us. i'm dying to see them so the risk is worth it imo...no matter the outcome.
