08/23/17... Called NVC because payment still showing "In Process", was advised to email proof of payment to have them manually correct it

VSC needs to wake up and catch up with CSC. They need to hire more people to adjudicate the applications.

I received a text and an e-mail earlier that says "card/document production" while I was at Staples checking out and deep inside me was jumping for joy but I don't want the cashier to think that I was crazy.

We're a bit concerned now. We assumed that we'd get an updated Green Card by the end of December at the very latest; however, it looks like it may not be until March before we will find out if it's approved or not.

(VSC March filers are getting theirs now so that comes out to a 7 month delay. Aug + 7 = March!!!)

My wife's Uzbek passport expires in March so she'll need to go back to get a new passport.

However, her Green Card shows to expire next month.

While I know the NOA says the green card is good for up to a year (while in limbo), what I'm afraid of is that if she travels, she'll get stuck in Uzbekistan if they don't accept the NOA as proof.

We don't have the money for her to fly now.

Any thoughts, recommendations?

We're a bit concerned now. We assumed that we'd get an updated Green Card by the end of December at the very latest; however, it looks like it may not be until March before we will find out if it's approved or not.

(VSC March filers are getting theirs now so that comes out to a 7 month delay. Aug + 7 = March!!!)

My wife's Uzbek passport expires in March so she'll need to go back to get a new passport.

However, her Green Card shows to expire next month.

While I know the NOA says the green card is good for up to a year (while in limbo), what I'm afraid of is that if she travels, she'll get stuck in Uzbekistan if they don't accept the NOA as proof.

We don't have the money for her to fly now.

Any thoughts, recommendations?

can't she just renew her passport at the uzbek consulat?
