Hi all,

I'm finishing my husband's AOS package and getting ready to mail it off next week. As I'm new to this corner of VJ and just skimming, I'm not really sure about the whole transferring to CSC and what appears to be approvals w/o interviews... (this being based on some of the postings I've read)...

what exactly does it mean to transfer to CSC? does it just mean transferring from the Chicago lockbox to CSC?

I live in Southern California so should I expect a transfer to CSC?

Is there something about CSC that means quicker approvals and no interview? I'm assuming that's not a guarantee but something that's possible right? But for those that didn't have the interview - any clue as to how that happened?

sorry if I'm asking really dumb and obvious questions - i'm sure some searching and researching would help me figure this out but I'm at work right now and I figured just posting a new topic w/ the Q's would be quicker.

Even though myself and my daughter's AOS cases were not transferred to CSC, from what I have been reading, it seems to be a "random" thing.

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme nor reason to why some cases are transferred to CSC. Some people are just lucky.

Hi Omid,

The answer to your first questions is yes. You must mail the AOS package to Chicago. Immigration is the one that decides to send it to your D.O. or CSC. There is no pattern to how they pick which packages goes to CSC. Most of the people that have been transfer to CSC have been approved without an interview.

Note: the process is quick for most people once they are transferred to CSC but there are cases with some people waiting a long time and still waiting.
