Hello all :(

I just finished preparing all the requirements to file CRBA for our child. We have an appointment set next week. We are not married "yet". I was looking at the embassy website and spotted this except. "If the U.S. citizen parent was naturalized, he/she must bring the original Certificate of Naturalization and one photocopy." I have looked at past/old threads and did not see anyone mention this topic specifically.

A little back story. I gained U.S citizenship when both my parents became U.S citizens back in 1988. I was 8 years old at the time. We never got a certificate of naturalization or certificate of citizenship.. All I could remember is that we went to get passports and they voided our philippine passports on the spot.

When I filed my CRBA for my daughter with my exwife 5 years ago in Japan, they never asked or looked for that document because of my passport and other documents.. So my question is, do I really need that document if I already have sufficient proof and documention? is there anyone that can give me their experience on this, especially for the people who did "not" have a certificate of naturalization because they inherited citizenship from their parents.

Pretty bummed out right now... going back to the U.S in 2 weeks, sana maasikaso to bago ako umuwi at sana meron makatulong sakin :crying:
