NVC Filers - August 2011

Both packets are submitted. AOS was accepted Wednesday of last week and the IV packet was delivered that same day.

I am hoping for case closed this week. I'm thinking Wednesday or Thursday.

Okay, I have a stupid question. I just got what for most people is the 'false' RFE, for the DS260 and supporting documents. However, since I /haven't/ sent it in (and don't plan to till November).. would I send in both the barcoded receipt page and barcoded RFE page?

I assume I would, but you know what they say about assuming.

No, you just need to send in the barcoded cover sheet from the payment portal. The only time you include the barcode for an RFE is if it's a REAL one. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt if you sent both, but as far as I know, it's not needed.

Finally all of my supporting documents for AOS and IV were delivered and everything paid. I guess we're waiting for them to be reviewed now!

Me too! It only took 6 days for the file to reach NVC and the operator said this morning that it should be in the system by the end of the week so hopefully things are speeding up again.

nvc receive our case recently..im wondering now how long they will give case no.?i just send email to them and they just reply us we wait for 6 to 8 weeks..awww thats kinda long..do we really just wait 6 to 8 weeks before we make move or we should call nvc?

Kind of crazy cuz I started posting in the June NVC forum since I was approved on June 23rd but NVC received case August 8 and has been working pretty smooth for me so far.

Saylin I have a question. If I have the cover sheet for my IV bill, can I send in the DS-230 paperwork before the AOS? My joint sponsor gave me her info but I'm missing a few items and she won't be in town until September 6. Imagine that. 46 days waiting for a case number and now I'm the one delaying the process

Unfortunately, NVC has been backlogged recently, and it's been taking almost a month from NOA2 to receiving a case number. All you can do is to continue calling a NVC operator everyday and asking if a number has been assigned. Good luck.

Yup, you can send the IV before the AOS. There's no rule where you have to send the AOS first. Most people do as that's the first bill that appears as PAID. But if you have everything ready for the IV, just sent it. That way, at least NVC can start reviewing it while you're waiting for the last few documents for the AOS.

Well wrap me up and call me an August filer! FInally received our case number and IIN yesterday! Just waiting to be able to pay some fees! All packets are ready to roll!
