I filed for A.O.S. & E.A.D. on 27th June and received NOA on 5th July 2011, but the USCIS is still not showing my case. I phoned the department up on 19th July and asked them how long it takes, they said give it 2 weeks. I received a letter from them on 23rd July saying the same. I've just checked the website again, and still nothing.

I need the case updating as I take my driving test next week and the DMV will not give me a permit until then. I showed the DMV the E.A.D. NOA but they check the case status before the permit is given out.

Has anyone else had problems with delays. I had my biometrics last week for E.A.D. and thought it would have been updated by now!!!!

Thanks

Dave :)

My case is in the same situation. My biometrics were taken last week and nothing has been changed by now. I don't rely on this stupid system because they don't updated as they should. I applied for K-1 visa last year and since then the system has shown initial review and noting is changed but I already went to the visa interview and I was given a visa...

Some cases never show online because their online system is not the most reliable one. I'm not sure why DMV would rely on it.

My Immigration Journey:

K1: June 2010 - December 2010

AOS: April 2011 - June 2011

ROC: April 2013 - August 2013

Naturalization: March 2014 - August 2014

The DMV just wanted more proof, even though I gave them my NOA as proof. I was allowed to take the written test but not allowed to take the driving test. I now have my driving test next week and don't want to cancel again, this would mean I would have to take the written test again, you only have 30 days to take your driving test. I was sent to another DMV office to give them my details and they check for me, but that was over 2 weeks ago and nothing from the DMV either!!!!!!!

The NOA1 means nothing. They need the ACTUAL EAD or approval of the EAD at least. Sorry. Looks like you still have a bit of a wait.
