I think that straight line racial profiling probably doesn't work. I think watching the behavior of people is the key to discovering if they may be planning mass murder.

There's still those types out there, but they've always been seen as looney tunes. Foreigners are less well known so people don't know what to look for in terms of normal behaviour.

I agree that appearance alone isn't useful in determining who to subject to scrutiny. The authorities want to be seen both to be being proactive, but at the same time don't want to appear to be discriminating against minority groups. That's why a single guy travelling through an airport with a single carry-on bag might breeze through security, but an elderly couple might be taken aside and have their bags searched.

At the end of the day, I think that most of the security measures in place at airports and train stations are for the sake of appearances - since unless you literally search every person, every bag and have people board trains and planes stark ####### naked there's always going to be a risk.

A similar situation happened in July 1995, in the case of Susan Smith, who drowned her sons in a lake by sinking her car into it, then reported that a Black man hijacked her car, taking the boys.

I remember telling my assistant upon hearing the report that she was lying, that she killed them herself. The media ran with her version of the story, but law enforcement checked out her movements that day and found it to be false.

Mainstream media is largely lazy, underfunded, close-minded and resistant to originality. It's foolish to believe them first.

I agree. I for some reason never believed Susan Smith. I never ever thought it was Muslim terrorists from the beginning. I know news people and their intelligence leaves a lot to be desired.

Susan Smith was Al Qaeda, I had no idea. I do remember the whole thing about Middle Eastern types and the Murrah Building.

I didn't and even though I had heard about it I wasn't able to watch the news till late and never heard about the Muslim angle. They may have figured it out by that time and news corrected themselves.

No idea. The stereotyping of suspects makes it easier and harder to figure out who's out to get you, all it takes is for one maniac to put his or her plan in action. You can make it harder for some groups to do bad things but there are plenty of crazies out there.
