NVC's new trick - AOS status "IN PROCESS"

NVC has now come up with new trick to ease their work load. While the IV fee status is updated as "PAID" in just one business day, they are keeping the AOS fee status "IN PROCESS" for over a week. Anyone with similar situation!

I paid my AOS on Friday 29th, it shows in process right now ,since today is mine 2nd business day for this process, so I am expecting it tomorrow... but ur response make me tense...

I'm the same in reverse. My AOS is PAID, but IV fee has been in process for a week. Even the NVC operator says he can see that I paid the fee in his computer. I guess the tracking computer is just extremely slow to update.

Paid AOS last Tuesday, it was pulled from my Bank last Wednesday.. still shows "IN PROCESS" at NVC as of Monday morning. I called Friday, they said they get five days and to call back Tuesday if it does not show as paid.. I fully expect it to go today. Currently checking once per hour so I can immediatly run down to the post office and mail my forms that I have sitting on my desk (still have that September interview dream).

Meanwhile the IV packet fee invoiced late last Thursday, I paid it and then on Friday when I was checking for the AOS fees to show as PAID I noticed that the IV fees showed as paid... Ran the IV package down to the post office .. Total time from invoice to pay to pulling from my bank to clearing the NVC system to mailing out the IV package: less than 24 hours. Quite the contrast! Just checked on the IV packet and it is already in New Hamphshire and will be delivered today.. Not bad for $5.65 mailing price

Since my Case number was changed on 7/28, I was wondering if the AOS fee payment done with old Case number caused this issue, as the IV fee on 7/28 using new Case number got PAID status on 7/29 itself (AOS fee paid on 7/26 is still in PROCESS).

Virginian61, what are your payment dates... just for acedemic purposes, as you have in reverse.

Yes I had that happen I had paid the AOS and was already taken out of my bank and then Paid IV and was processe quickly with in one day it showed paid and they dealy the AOS for a week and I had to call them up to state it was already taken out my account and they had seen it that it took longer than normal to show "IN PROCESS" so they said they would have a supervisor check on it. The same day that I called it was already showing paid so that delay my paper work to be sent to NVC even longer which I was upset because I could had my wife appointment in August if they did mess around so much with us.

Since today is my 5th business day, I called - the operator is placing the issue before a supervisor to get it checked (Friday NVC was not willing to involve a supervisor - so I guess 5th working days is alright for supervisor involvement).

Here's my plan on how to stop waiting for AOS fee to show as PAID:

if the IV fee gets billed Monday and if it posts as PAID before the AOS (which I paid last week) then I plan to use 2 copies of the IV cover sheet: 1 for each packets. I will just write: "AOS" after the "CMR" on one. Granted, I will call an operator to confirm this is okay, but come on! The bank shows the funds are drawn, the NVC computer shows it as PAID to the phone rep, and the barcode is exactly the same.

So - just an idea for those of us waiting for the AOS guy at NVC to run the script to trigger the funds acceptance code. If we can shave a day or 2 off this process, all the better, especially after having the petitions sit for a month in the the corner of the subcontractor mailroom at USCIS...

I read this in another thread... double check that. Some of these documents are hard to get twice so taking a gamble is one hell of a craps shoot...

I agree - a 2 days delay is not great compared to getting an RFE and wasting 15 plus days. It is this very reason, I didn't dispatch my DS-230 on 7/29 and waited a full day to check everything thoroughly with additional pair of eyes before sending it on 7/30 - it is already delivered at NVC today.

Some people talk about sending both together and delaying one for the other - I think it is not wise, as two different departments are reviewing each of those and there is no point in delaying one for the other to be ready - just send one at a time whenever ready.

I called about an hour ago and all the supervisors were busy (on the phone).. They were sticking to the five days and added one more day (instead of call Tuesday, now they are saying call Wednesday). Friendly but they are showing the strain of never-ending calls of "where is my case number!".
