Ok after reading some people's experiencing delays when they found anomolies during the medical test, what would people here think about getting our own medical test done on the lines of one precribed by the CDC for immigration well before in time, like someone like us who havent even got NOA2, we can get medical done and if something is found get treated for it or have it tested in detail now while we wait for our NOA2. Is this a good idea?

what do yall think of this ?

You can only get a medical done through the doctors listed by USCIS in your area. Most medicals are valid for 12 months but not sure about India? You only just got your NOA1 so you actually have plenty of time yet.

you missed my point. I wanted to get a medical done before a actual medical so if there are any issues , they can be fixed before we get a medical done by the USCIS doctor so we dont have get delayed. get it ?

I would say very few people get rejected for medical reasons that they do not already know about, so see no need for a full pre-medical medical.

One thing that might be worth doing is a TB test.

Ok no need to be smart about it and as others have said why pay for another medical when if there was something wrong you would know about it now yes? And basically medicals are to make sure your vaccinations are up to date and you have no chronic disease like TB

Don't worry about the medical. It's not about checking the applicant's health status, it's only making sure there is nothing contagious like TB. Even HIV is no longer an issue.

wasnt really trying to be smart. Sorry if i came on that way. As for medical, i am gonna get a TB test done caus from what i've heard if they find a anomoly, they do a culture test or something and that takes 8 weeks. So imagine having to wait another 8 weeks more to get your visa. I would go crazy.

Absolutely nothing wrong with getting yourself checked out before you have to have the real medical. I was planning on going to my local doctor to get most of the vaccinations done prior.
