how much ongoing relationship proof?

I started compiling a few things... we don't take a lot of photos. The last photo I have of us was taken in 2003! He has one from March, and we can make a point of taking a few on our next visit in October. So I've got a phone bill from each year of our relationship up to July (in my former roommates name). The application has proof of visits.

My question is, how much proof do they expect? A few bits, even if dated, or an entire scrapbook from past to present? Cuz I don't have one!

Also, we are not officially engaged. No ring, no wedding date. We will marry at some point at the end of the three months. And if they ask me, should I tell them I have not quit my job, just taking 3 months of leave? Could this be a problem, or will they appreciate that I am just an easily frightened unromantic type of person? :P

Well .. LOL not engaged but going to a " fiancee " Visa interview .. I don't think a ring is a requirement .. but i certainly wouldn't say we aren't engaged ! During my interview they asked to see pictures of us together and thats it as far as proof of relationship .. but in Vancouver you can hear other people being interviewed as the room is so small .. They were asking others to see what they had .. people gave them things like phone bills .. msn / yahoo logs .. letters and photos .. basically whatever they had to offer. I took lots of stuff with me ( just in case ) Phone bills , ring receipt , plane tickets from visits since we filed .. pictures , wire transfers from my bank to his / his to mine .. some emails and my Fiance ! They didn't want any of it .. just to see some pictures .. When he asked for the pictures i said .. He is sitting right over there with my kids if you would like to talk to him .. and he said " nea .... unless he has something to say to me ! " LOL .. but i felt better with him there .. and with the proof of relationship in my folder. Best to be prepared .. because they can ask whatever they want. Another thing that could be helpful is a new letter of intent from the USC ... saying they still intend to marry you within 90 days of your arrival blah blah blah .. Anyways hope this helps ! Good Luck :star:

When I went through Vancouver I had the same experience ... I brought so much evidence (cell phone bills, long distace bills, plane tickets, ring receipt etc) and he didn't ask to see any of them ... Actually I never took any of them out of my folder ... We did send a few phone bills and plane ticket stubs in our original I-129F so I am not sure if he looked at that prior to our interview ...

The most important thing he was looking for was pictures of us together ... We had a little party at my parents home town about 2 weeks before our interview so I brought all the pictures of us together from that and that satisfied him ...

ok thanks... I will see what photos he has - I think his family is better at taking photos than we are! And I will make sure to get some from this trip too. Other than that, I guess I have samples of different things. I will get an updated letter of intent from the USC. And yea, I will just stick to the facts - we plan to marry within the 3 months but I don't have a ring yet! :)

The officer did ask when we planned to get married ... I told them within the 90 days and it will probably be a few weeks after I arrive in the US ... He was fine with that ...

Just so you know he never asked me about if I had bought her a ring yet ...
