The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once. Guys wait for the time to come always expect the worst or else we will be depress about VB movement. I am convince one month movement for this month (1/1/09) I HOPE I AM WRONG!

I just called and the guy said that they are working on cases filed before dec 1,2008.Last time they told me they are working on cases filed before july 1,2008....So thats something good to hear...I also asked the question that when do they usually start scheduling interviews and he said they schedule interviews in the second week for the next month...I still dont get what exactly does that mean...

For me that means that those who have got interview dates so far ,were scheduled in the 2nd week of August....and now they will start scheduling interviews in the 2nd week of September for those who will get it in the end of september...I hope I am wrong but thats how it looks like.

He also told me that an interview cant be scheduled until a visa number is available...But how would we know if a visa is available or not...Anyway I am still hopeful...Lets see what we get.

Hi all,

guys last month we got good news on the 2nd of August so we do not have to lose hope and our friends who called nvc and they told them that they will schedule interviews on 6th of Sep so plz keep praying and trust God and God will handle everything

Hey hope you have been okay. I read your private message sent to me a few days back. Than you.

It mean that during the (first or) secobd week of every month the NVC uses the information that was previously submitted by all the US Consulates to schedule interviews.

How do you know when A visa number is available? It is relatively easy to detetmine. If your priority date is before the cut off date... Which is the date shown in the CURRENT visa bulletin then YES a visa number is availsble for you. The NVC will request the ALLOTMENT OF VISA NUMBER based on the number of persons on the case file who will be processed. If RETO occurs then the case/priority date isnt current and therefore we will have no choice but to wait..... Or with draw the application
