Only 87934 visas available for F2A out of 114200 (77%)available for Family Second category. AND within these 87934 visas, 75% (65950) is exempt from per country limit and the remaining 25 % (21980) is suject to per country limit.

I dont understand if 7% rule is applied here. Like other EB categories, if 7% rule is applied almost all countries except(Mexico, DR, Philippines, Haiti, Cuba, http://www.travel.state.gov/pdf/WaitingListItem.pdf)should be CURRENT Now and Forever. Because of 75% F2A visas are exempted from country quotas and the above FIVE countries taking up almost (242K visas out of 361K in waiting list, see the link above), Spouses from Rest of all other COUNTRIES ARE SUFFERING.

they have divided f2a into three two parts....exempted visa and 7% rule visas....so india and china dont have that much filing in f2a...in fact maxico has highest filing...so all the world have same cutoff date and maxico and phillipines (now the have same with the world) have different....so india and china having very few filings under f2a have to move with the world ...and so they are alloted less visas in f2a .....this is my opinion.....correct me if i am wrong....

7% rule says "no country can have more than 7% of total visas (means 224000)"...(7% means 15680 approximately)...

in that approx. 88000 is for f2a and from it approximately 65000 visas are of exempted from 7% rule......that is why most of the mexican and dominic republic have got most of f2a visas bcaz in only f2a category there are exempted visas...

this is the reason we find india and china dont have f4 visas more than f2a ....and mexico and dominic republic have more f2a than f4....

WAITING FOR WIFE(LIFE).....STORY OF F2A

This is complete nonsense from Dos. DOS should apply 7% Rule across all main categories (FB and EB) and their sub-categories (EB1,EB2...FB1, FB2...).

It's not really helpful seeing a number of people here predicting a one-month movement. First, it's too early to assume. 2nd, it's too early to assume. And third, it's too early to assume! Sometimes, it's more depressing going to this thread than helpful. I really hope for more positive vibes here.
