Canadian Police Records

When going over all our documents to make sure we have everything in order I asked my fiancee about her police records asking her about the "so long as it notes the Canadian Police Information Center (CPIC) or the national criminal records repository was searched using the applicant's name and date of birth" requirement. She said she doesn't see any indication of that and I asked her if it's a certificate of no conviction and she says it's a police record check.

Can any of you Canadian VJ'ers clear this up for me? Did she get the wrong record from her police department? If so I'm suddenly worried about getting the correct ones in time for our interview.

I never had a certificate of no conviction whatever that is. I walked into the police station they did a name check no records found they put my crappy green sheet in a printer it printed out NO CONVICTIONS NO RECORD the woman took my money and put a stamp on the paper and that was it.

I picked up my police records check yesterday at the local Waterloo Regional Police Main Branch. I told the lady that I needed a Canada wide name search for my records check. She asked me why, and I told her for immigration. She even wrote that on the form, I paid my 30$ and a minute later she handed me back a copy of it, keeping the originl. It says it was searched in the Canadian National Repository of Criminal Records. If your fiance is worried it's not the right form, have her scan a copy of it to you. You can always put lines across the personal info and post it on here too, if you're still not sure.
