What does it all mean

Hey all, been a long time since I posted. I'm sure you all know all about it you know the little things that consume our time moving, weddings, children, gathering paperwork. Any who ........... We filed our AOS paperwork the end of August and got our NOA dated September 1st. The biometrics appointment letter came Monday we head to Birmingham tomorrow for said appointment. Well this morning I checked my email and whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaa three 3 emails from the CRIS all three are exactly the same

On September 14, 2006, we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to an office in CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER for processing. Our office in CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER will send you a written decision as soon as processing is complete. You should receive a notice informing you that your case has been transferred to a local office.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision or advice from USCIS within the projected processing time frame*, please contact the National Customer Service Center.

What's it all mean? I know what it means we are one step closer to bing done for atleast 2 years but wow that fast. I have been following others post and see the excitement about being transferred to CSC. But could it really mean we may be close? And why nothing on the EAD? I check the case status this morning before the emails came and my EAD was touched on September 13th but the AOS not since the 7th of September. Oh well confused but happy I guess. Especially since RFE's seem to be running rampant after the first NOA. Anyone with any idea's on what to expect next chime in here. And heres to speedy processing for everyone waiting. Freda

Transfers to California seem to be approved quite quickly and without an interview, so yes, I think it is a good bet for you to look forward to some good news quite soon. That is not to say all cases receive quick approval, because ours didn't, but the trend is for quick approvals. It may be that you will get your AOS approved before the EAD - and in that case, well you are out the EAD fee but as that is not usually the case, it is normally good insurance to apply for the EAD so that you will be able to work while waiting for the AOS. Here's hoping you are one of the lucky ones who get approved quickly.

OK...our recent email stated that we would receive a written decision about our case. Does that mean we're about to be transferred too? Oh I hope so!

First thank you all for your input. This immigration stuff still freaks me out. Second I sure hope it means a quick approval. And Karen just let us know anytime. Things are still crazy here but settling down. Email me and we can iron oout some details.

Hey Peter I'd put it on the CSC transfer thread if I had even the foggiest idea on how to go about that. I looked at the thread and good golly miss molly what the heck is all that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
