hi to all vj's member!

hi before i start, im a cr1 category and arrived here in Newyork last year October. now i just want to ask about what i read on my passport on my visa it say's here that " upon endorsement serves as temporary I-551 evidencing permanent residence for 1 year " that's what written in my passport in the visa. is that mean that i need to apply now for removing of condition? coz im goin almost 1 year now. they said that 90 days before the expiration of the temporary GC it should apply for the removal. pls...correct me if im wrong i really wanna know about this so i can start processing my paper's now as soon as possible. thank's in advance! GodBless Us All!

no, it doesn't mean that, the stamp is temporary until you get the GC. immigration has up to 1 year to mail you the GC. In the mean time, you can use the stamp to work and travel while waiting for the GC to arrive.

if you already got your GC, the stamp is no longer valid.

removal of conditions is done before your 2 year GC expires. you will fill out the i751 form. you can do it 90 days before the card expires.
