Apparently those people didnt read the same Quaran or something, because they are continuing to fast. And to say that because there is little food to begin with that celebrating that holiday is no big deal is a sell out imo. They won't even eat the food given them by organizations ..and yet they continue to fast, and they continue to die.

So what's the point of this argument if you can't help them? Explain that please.

I don't know how much food they're being given from aid groups. It's it's only one or two meals a day, which is pretty standard, they can still eat their two meals without breaking fast.

PS - I shouldn't assume that you know that fasting for Ramadan is just between certain hours. You do get to eat, just not during the hours of the fast each day. I do worry about the water intake of starving people, tho. Especially in the climate they live in.

On BBC it was sacks of flour, rice, and some other stuff. Those people looked like scarecrows. It happens there all the time, and I don't think anyone has a clue as how to fix the situation over there. It's one warlord after another, and one drought after another. It's like some never ending h*ll.

Just adding the comment that Ramadan is only for a month - it isn't for all year - it has only just started, and fasting is during day light hours only for those who are physically able to fast. If you have medical or other reasons - such as 'starvation' - you are not required to fast during the daylight hours. Even those who do choose to fast are allowed to eat and drink when the sun goes down. Since Ramadan is only 2 days old it is a non-sequitur to blame Ramadan for people dying of starvation all the time. If people are eating after dark, they are not going to starve during a daylight hour fast - unless of course they have no food to begin with and their 'fasting' is inadvertent and continues overnight as well - which then, of course, has nothing to do with Ramadan.
