Without repeating my story (which you can read in other posts)...

Can you believe the consular employee is saying there are 12 pages numbered 1-12 in the 601, and is REFUSING to accept it to send off to Rome?

Ok, how many pages are in the 601? I already know, but I want to hear it from you all.

(My attorney and senators office are SO on top of this!) I'm just aggravated!

Purpose of Form : An alien who is ineligible to be admitted to the United States as an immigrant or to adjust status in the United States, and certain nonimmigrant applicants who are inadmissible, must file this form to seek a waiver of certain grounds of inadmissibility. All 11 pages must be submitted.

Number of Pages : Form 11; Instructions 11.

You couldn't just print the page about I-601 from uscis.gov and shown it to the consular employee?

Hi bob natty here, u gonna get your senator involved ? We gonna call his office today maybe he could push things along.

Not at this time, ours is pretty cut and dried, minor infraction as they go but still an infraction. If the 601 doesn't go well the first time, then I'll be all over the phones........Thanks for asking Natty!

Well, my senator IS involved, and they "shook the tree" for us. The Consular Officer called my husband back, and told him to bring the money!! :) Our 601 will be off to Rome next week :)

We got our letter stating the 601 was required and instructions to follow as far a filing it. They were just slow in issuing the letter as it took 3 weeks to send it post interview. Best of luck with your 601!

I know this issue was already resolved a while ago, but I just wanted everyone to know that even until the last moments of my husband dealing with the consulate, that lady still insisted that my husband would be denied because our 212 had 11 pages. This lady was so unbelievable spiteful. Don't trust one person in government without getting backup info from another employee, or an attorney. This lady stressed us so bad making us think we were filing the wrong forms. I couldn't believe she mislead us on purpose!
