The comment about wanting hurdles out of OUR way...lol...what, you like them ?

I am also certain that we can multitask, wanting hurdles out of OUR way or fly over them with required evidence which we do have AND be concerned for other couples to look for a way to discuss how to implement changes for an improved system.

Nigeriaorbust, that was a funny post, thanks for the laughs, I needed one. I agree with you.

Ehem...no, we want them to block us from being successful :bonk:

There was a context to those remarks. This thread is about stopping fraud. It looks like a few are not interested in the fraud issue at all. They just want the obstacles removed so they can get what THEY want. Either you're discussing stopping fraud or you're not. It seems "not" at least not REALLY.

A Warning to Green Card Holders About Voting

1 post that stereotypes an ethnic group removed, along with 1 quoting.

one post returned below, minus the quote:

I took a quick peek at the Nigeria conslate reviews.. I looked at May, June, July, and August of this year

K-1 Female USC Filed 2010-11-12, passed interview 2011-08-08

I-130 Female USC Filed 2010-09-28, passed interview 2011-07-26

K-1 Female USC, Did not say when she filed, passed interview 2011-07-25

K-1 Female USC, File 2010-10-13, passed interview 2011-07-19

K-1 Female USC, Filed 2010-09-01, passed interview 2011-07-07

I-130 Female USC, Filed 2009-03-10, passed intervew 2011-06-10

K-1 Female USC, Did not say when she filed, passed interview 2011-05-10

There was one denial in the reviews since last may: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/user/52909-denny-n-lanre/

Many of the reviews mention that only 3 or 4 or 6 questions were asked and the interviews lasted only three minutes... Poof! visa granted .. So not *all* people going through Nigeria are put through the ringer.. Maybe the problem was elsewhere....

As far as your prejudcial rants (the one against men, not the one against cuacasians or asians) I had a reply but I think I am done with this thread....

any further stereotypes of ethnic groups will receive admin action.

They just want the obstacles removed so they can get what THEY want. Either you're discussing stopping fraud or you're not. It seems "not" at least not REALLY.

We STILL are in context and the context is coming from a place of experiencing hurdles unlike some who have not experienced them, so your double standard does not apply. If you can talk about all I want is MY hurdles cleared, then I can comment and say heck yes I do and I want fraud stopped too. Just because you deem that impossible doesn't make it so.

As I was saying we do want obstacles removed and I am certain so did you to be successful in your visa journey.Who in their right mind wouldn't ?

We can multitask commenting about our hurdles AND still have empathy for those who were blocked by hurdles in the system AND still discuss to keep fraud out. One does not negate the other in the motivation for discussion. That is the reason this thread was started. Pedantically insisting adhering to a system that others clearly identify as broken and not seeing its faults as it is now, gives me reason to believe you never encountered hurdles that blocked your visa journey or you are perhaps a bit less creative to innovate better ideas for change and improvement. However, I don't know the facts of YOUR journey, therefore I will refrain from my "gut feeling." I walk my talk.Point made.

What government agency is perfect ? It seems it is you that is not interested to deviate from any existing archaic regulation or lack of it. To you the system is not broken and should remain as it is. Perhaps the point for you is mute and there is nothing else to say here for you ?

Still laughing at the "They just want the obstacles removed so they can get what THEY want" remark, who wouldn't ? Except for the little word "just" in that sentence, which renders it shallow and shows me attitude. Have the same people not been commenting with specific ideas on how to stop fraud AND get what they seek after, which is their loved one here ? You think one can't be done without the other, or what is your point. Your reasoning is getting confusing and slightly leaning towards an argumentative mode for the sake of needing to be right. It's not about right or wrong, it's about sharing ideas and if they seem not workable to you then it can be stated with a decent attitude without making it personal by saying They JUST want what they want, that is what derailed the core of the ideas. Lighten up ! It's ok to not be viewed as being correct every time by everybody, really.

Lighten up ! It's ok to not be viewed as being correct every time by everybody, really.

First, you know nothing about my own case or my experience outside my own case except that you can see I've been a participant here for nearly six years, My wife and daughter received their visas over five years ago. This ain't my first rodeo and it ain't as few as my hundredth. No, I did NOT want obstacles removed from my path. Instead, I wanted to understand both the process and obstacles and deal with them the best I possibly could. I don't lack empathy but this is a thread titled, "How to stop fraud in fiance/spouse visas". SO, in keeping with decorum and etiquette, I attempt to keep my remarks focused on the subject of the thread.

If you want to discuss removing obstacles instead of stopping fraud, or start a thread to express empathy or to seek empathy, I respectfully suggest you do so in another thread in the applicable forum. I'm right a lot. What's the point of posting without confidence in your knowledge and opinion? Nevertheless, the arguments here are engaged in for the purpose of helping others have successful visa journeys. We don't do that by posting nonsense or false information and we CERTAINLY don't do it by posting racist or sexist comments. As you may have noticed, the moderators delete those. It's called "terms of service". Read them, understand them and abide by them, PLEASE.

That is exactly what I said, I don't know your visa journey and don't care to know. YOU quoted and applauded the shallow "hurdles, obstacle" accusation in a condescending manner and I replied to it AFTER YOU brought it up to let you know that was not cool. The way you put it was uncalled for, I suggest you check yourself in regards to etiquette and attitude.

I don't care if you have been here 10 years with 5 rodeos. Learn to rope the cow and brand the calf in regards to etiquette.

Navigating through obstacles and making changes so they are according to policy and not made up assumptions is precisely the meat of the discussion. What is nonsense to you isn't to someone else. You do not control me nor this board or tell me what thread to make about which issue. No one here asked you for a precise answer to a personal visa problem, this is called kicking ideas around, brain storming, coming together and respecting other peoples comments without coming off as if you have a superior attitude about false information. Have a little respect for other posters.

"We don't do...." it does not concern me what you don't think you do or who "we" is.

Last but not least it is not necessary for you to tell me to read TOS. I have known the TOS since 2005 and have not violated them but your condescending manner is offensive and I won't be bullied. I did not make racist remarks, that is completely off base to even say that to me. Take it to whom you think it needs to be addressed to and as I said check yourself. PLEASE. :ot:

When I write, I address all the potential readers. You didn't post the racist and sexist remarks but you certainly told the author you thought they were funny. You are free to post off topic, useless, useful or whatever you want within the TOS, and so am I and every other member here. Me making you feel good about how I do it is not any more important to me than it is to you that I feel good about what you do. Please drop the personal stuff and stay on topic. If you continue to seek sympathy instead of making useful suggestions, I'll continue to respond with MY opinion. The readers sort out the relative value.

Seriously? This thread is way off the grid.....I will speak out for pushbrk, because he is the number one (1) immigration adviser on this website. If you disagree with his advice, ok. That said, do not foist false allegations or complaints against him, as this will eliminate your complaint value. Until he or anyone else violates the VJ TOS, we will not intervene.

Si, man.

Back to topic: I believe that COs could conduct a lot more telephone interviews of the petitioners. I and other Ecuador filers had our USC hindquarters ordered down to Ecuador (blackmail) for "marriage" interviews, which were really Stokes interviews. This was and is dirty pool. If an application seems thin or suspicious to a CO, what easier and more efficient way could there be to alleviate suspicion than for the CO to interview the USC by phone? If the answers aren't satisfying, perhaps then the USC could be asked to come down personally (vs. "ordered").

What do we think about this?

Why aren't more telephone interviews conducted? If they are frequently conducted, why don't we hear about them here?

All: William33 does not endorse people frivolously or without reason. In fact, I read and respect everything that William posts on any subject.

I would like answers to my questions above before this potentially very valuable thread gets locked, si man.
