Brit in Russia...

Evening all,

My fiancee (She's the USC) and I (British) are about to start our K-1 journey.

I'm currently living in Russia and will be for the foreseeable future. I have already posted about starting my journey in the 'K-1' forum, but thought I'd drop by this one too and get some thoughts from people that have experienced the K-1 from Russia.

What should I expect from the process and how different would it be if I was in the UK whilst going through the process? Any words of advice or things to consider for me going forward?

The only difference I know is that there is no packet 4 in Russia, so the interview appointment procedure is different.

But on the whole it's pretty much the same, I think...

I also used this link a lot during the process: Fiance(e) Visa, Moscow Consulate Guide.

Good luck to you with your visa journey!

The main difference will be when you stand in line for your interview. Instead of being there with a mixed group of people, you'll be in line with what looks to be the backstage portion of a fashion show or Miss World pageant. Possibly you could mistake it for the warmup area of a tennis tournament.

Other than that... the only major difference is your fiancee can't go to the interview with you like she could in UK.
