sending boxes to a PO box address

Hi. I'm going to start sending boxes to my fiance's PO box address as instructed cos he's currently not present on his home address due to deployment. He can only be able to pick them up by February next year.

I'm wondering if they store it for couple of months?.. And also, if they have size limits of the box?..

Does anyone here tried sending a box to a PO box address? Gladly appreciate your opinions on this.

He should check with the local post office regarding packages being held. He should be specific about the size of packages being sent. The post office is not a storage facility. You don't want them discarded.

A P.O box is generally the size of an envelope maybe a little bigger.

He will have to check if the post office will hold them for that long. Generally P.O boxes do not take large boxes and a notice is left there for them for only 30 days to pick it up.

If I were you I would see if you can mail it to someone else, a family member of his or someone that would be able to hold the boxes for you at their home instead.
