K1 medical exam with a baby

I am about to schedule a medical exam for myself and my child. Does anyone have an idea what's going to happen/what to expect from the med exam with a 5-month-old baby girl? Just so we could prepare for it.

Any insights will be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Oh one more thing, I was wondering how long usually does USEM Manila consulate schedule an interview once you're done with med exam? Or do you choose a date yourself?

You really need to do some reading here as it is a big subject. Can't say for the physical itself but do "search" for that. As for the interview, the short answer is you are the one that sets that interview. You do that after you get the letter informing you to go to the embassy/ govt website. If you plan on making only one trip to manila i would do the physical on a Monday and set interview for that comimg Friday so St Lukes has time to send your paperwork to embassy. You need the interview letter or webpage copy of appointment to have the physical and a few other things. best to do some reading here as here are a few steps. Jim.

well, we're both applying for a US visa. I already got my NOA2 for K1 and they say she's included in the petition. I'm not really sure how it goes tho, does she need medical too? If so, what can we expect? Like what procedures are they going to do on her? =/

Is the father a US citizen? If so, then the baby cannot be issued a visa. You would need to obtain a US passport for the child. No medical needed for that.

eah the father is a USC but we are not eligible to file for CRBA since Anton (my fiance and father of child) has only been living in the USA for about 3 years and it says that in order to file for CRBA, USC must have had residency for at least 5 years... So we're getting the child a visa instead.

Your welcome. In the search box just type in St Luke's it will give you plenty to read. And at the top check out the guides for k1 or whatever process you need. Good luck! Jim.

Did you already attend CFO and was the child registered? If you have not been yet thats a requirement before you leave the country, Jim.

I'm afraid not.. What is CFO? does that take long?

I just did some research on CFO.. I think we'll do that after final interview. Thanks again, Jim! =)
