How much time does the biometric appointment take? I am planning on taking half day off

I just had my appointment on this past Saturday ... My appointment was for 8:00am and from my understanding they have 4 different appointment times in a day and they will book say 25 people for the 8:00am and 25 more people for the 10:00am ect ect ... I am just guessing on the 25 people thing, as I am not sure how many they book for each time frame ...

Anyways we arrived at 7:45am and there was already a huge line ... It is first come first serve for your appointment time ... But even though it was a huge line we were completed and out of there by 9:00am ... It only takes about 10 minutes per person and they had 5 booths going ...

The only down side was we had to drive 1.5 hours each way ... It was fast and painless ...
