Hi folks,

My step-child and spouse have interviews next week for visas. We are expecting that the child's application will be approved, my spouse's denied. Spouse will have waiver interview later.

Question: how do we collect the visa for our child? We signed up online to have documents sent via DSL to my spouse's home state, where she will go to wait for waiver decision. But (by default?) our child's visa packet also now is scheduled to go to that state. We don't want that. We want our child's visa in hand so our child and I can go home to U.S. asap. It would be a mild disaster if child's visa were shipped to mom's home state.

Any advice appreciated.

Its possible they wont approve the childs visa until the mothers is approved because the childs visa is attached to the mothers.

You can ask at the interview if you can pick it up instead of having it mailed.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.
