Hi all,

My girl just received the packet 3 couple days ago from Rio embassy. In the Brazil K1 instruction, it states,

Approximately one month before your scheduled interview appointment with a consular officer, you will receive an appointment letter containing the date and time of your visa interview along with instructions for obtaining a medical examination.

However, medical exam instruction is in this packet. Does that mean my girl can go to the medical exam now or she has to wait until she receives the packet 4 with appoinment letter and further medical instruction?

Thank you all.

She books the exam now. She can even send in the checklist without the medical completed(if she has an appointment).

Hi Fruto!

She can make her exams already!

Any doctor takes a "expiration" period in a different way, so she should call the Doctor here in Rio de Janeiro in order to know that!

Good luck!

Fruto, she can go ahead and have the medical - you guys have the RDJ number, right? She'll need a 3x4cm photo, her passport and the RDJ number to schedule the medical. The medical, according to information obtained with the consulate is good for a year (in some cases, if the applicant has some disease, for 6 months).

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.
