It is in relation to a CR1 for my wife who is out of US.

I knew that once the case is complete with the National Visa Center

the case should be sent to Nicaragua for interview and final process.

But I contacted the embassy and They tell me that they are no longer scheduling interviews :crying:

for immigrant visas and the national visa center should do it in

their behalf.

Well, does someone in this situation?

How this work now? :bonk:

Thanks your reply is very important

My husband is Canadian, and the NVC scheduled the interview for him at the Montreal Consulate, and then transferred his case and all documents to them. You should receive a letter from the NVC explaining all of this. If you haven't and it's been a while since you submitted your application, I would call the NVC, and not the Embassy or Consulate.

Once your case is complete, your case is put in a queue for an interview date to be scheduled by NVC. The embassy/consulate sends NVC their schedule of availability for each visa category and then NVC schedules accordingly.

So, either a few days or weeks (varies by country) after case complete, you'll get an email from NVC with your interview date.

After an interview date has been scheduled, your case is then shipped to the embassy/consulate in time for your interview.

NVC is in charge of scheduling the interview and letting you know. You will receive an e-mail from the NVC with the interview date.
