but then i search at the packet 4 (not sure if its from the packet 4) the nbi was listed at what to bring during interview? this is just confusing:) just trying to make this process faster so we could be together in our first wedding anniversary (L)

hi, definitely expect to have an rfe. same case as mine. you don't need to go to manila for the nbi. you can get this in one of the nbi offices in any provinces. my husband is from the province and we got one from there. better get 2 copies - one for nvc and for interview. Good luck!

Better wait for the NBI clearance if you don't want to have an RFE and delays with NVC. How about trying to contact an NBI office on a nearby province,As far as I know there are a lot of NBI offices. Who knows maybe in your neighbor town the releasing is fast. It wouldn't hurt to ask around. :)

didn't you have your old NBI clearance ( the personal copy...they give you two copies when you apply for such)? If so, you could just have applied for renewal...correct me if I am wrong tho.

If you have the personal copy of your old NBI record I think thats way better than not having any NBI clearance in your IV packet at all. Just a thought. There is also long lines in getting NBI clearance here in our area. Its because of the newly introduced biometrics which would take a lot of time. Some would start lining up as early as 3am and wouldn't even finish in 1 day. Tragic!

NBI clearance is a must on your DS-230. You will also need a copy for your visa interview.

You might want to check if there is any NBI kiosk over at your area.

Good Luck!

The earlier post is right about the personal copy for your NBI clearance. You can just renew it and not go through the entire application anymore. And the situation in NBI Manila is ugly, last week it's all over the news.

"i can't get them at the other province since i wasn't born in there except in the main.."

Well I thought the NBI data base is nationwide, same as NSO and all other government offices. :)

If all else fail then better wait for your NBI clearance in your own province. In my own opinion it would be better to have 3 weeks delay on sending the complete IV packet than send it incomplete and get an RFE and would cost 1 month or even more delays.

Oh I don't know how government offices works in your province but if you haven't had that Advisory of Marriage certificate from NSO A.K.A.(CENOMAR/CEMAR) then better get it now, preparing ahead for the interview.

Goodluck!

In my mother experience she went to Tacloban the big city for us :) to get them but they told her to go back in Samar since they have a branch. people of the nbi here in our town are just really lazy and so slow based on my experience they said before 2 wks but i go them more than a month i kept coming back like 4x and wasting my tricycle fare (this was last march) I even fill up a dirty form on my second time, but its not important anyway  My civil papers are ready just that nbi is missing.. now i'm thinking of going to manila and get my advance medical at the same time my nbi..

thank you everyone. I appreciate all your opinion goodluck to me :star::D
