What is the punishment for posting the picture again?

If you don't reply, I'll assume you were banned from this thread also.

Point of clarification on the TOS please: I discovered today that I have been banned from a thread for posting the picture below:

popcorn_jon_stewart.gif

I think my caption was something like, "The plot thickens!" I have seen this popcorn reaction gif, and many other similar gifs, on VJ many, many times. We even have a popcorn smiley: :pop: I saw far more insulting posts to the OP, including calling her a troll, that were not removed. This was the ONLY post I made in the thread. I was snarky, but not antagonistic. I withheld my own strong conviction that the OP and the person who joined the same day and magically maybe knew who the OP's fiance was are trolls. If the post must be removed, fair enough, but I fail to see how this is such a violation of the TOS that I needed to be thread-banned. If someone can give me a cogent explanation that would be great.

Edit to add: I note that in the recent past, pictures of dead people being dragged in the streets and people being pushed off buildings have, after reporting, been removed and yet the posters of those images were not thread-banned. Thanks.

 I was thread-banned for posting that in the thread in question. I am purposely not linking to that thread since I do not want to import specific drama.

However you are referring to another thread so a moderator could decide that you are importing the drama just by mentioning it. That's how it works on VJ these day. Twist the TOS to fit your predetermined conclusions.

There is no safe way to behave. If they don't like you, they will get you.

I have had positive mod response to my request. :) Always glad to report back on communication.

What was the general rationale? Obviously no direct quotes, since that will result in 'serious administrative action'

WOW.

Lets not dance around this anymore. This place is run by Fascists.

I don't know what the philosophy is.

The family friendly stuff is for purely monetary reasons but it's got to be sold as a moral thing.

No women in swimsuits because gosh golly we can't have flesh on display. As if anyone actually cares.

Can we take a moment to appreciate the fact that this site's word filter refuses to allow me to use the word q u e e r to describe the broad and colourful GLBTQIA (and more) community that I am a part of because it's 'an insult' and people will no doubt report me for bypassing the word filter but the word filter allows the words 'Negro' and 'Negroes'?

Met in 2010 on a forum for a mutual interest. Became friends.
2011: Realized we needed to evaluate our status as friends when we realized we were talking about raising children together.

2011/2012: Decided we were a couple sometime in, but no possibility of being together due to being same sex couple.

June 26, 2013: DOMA overturned. American married couples ALL have the same federal rights at last! We can be a family!

June-September, 2013: Discussion about being together begins.

November 13, 2013: Meet in person to see if this could work. It's perfect. We plan to elope to Boston, MA.

March 13, 2014 Married!

May 9, 2014: Petition mailed to USCIS

May 12, 2014: NOA1.
October 27, 2014: NOA2. (5 months, 2 weeks, 1 day after NOA1)
October 31, 2014: USCIS ships file to NVC (five days after NOA2) Happy Halloween for us!

November 18, 2014: NVC receives our case (22 days after NOA2)

December 17, 2014: NVC generates case number (50 days after NOA2)

December 19, 2014: Receive AOS bill, DS-261. Submit DS-261 (52 days after NOA2)

December 20, 2014: Pay AOS Fee

January 7, 2015: Receive, pay IV Fee

January 10, 2015: Complete DS-260

January 11, 2015: Send AOS package and Civil Documents
March 23, 2015: Case Complete at NVC. (70 days from when they received docs to CC)

May 6, 2015: Interview at Montréal APPROVED!

May 11, 2015: Visa in hand! One year less one day from NOA1.

Yeah there's zero logic there.

I tried in a PM to use a word relating to a game of chance played with dice, part of which word is sometimes used as a euphemism for a swear...I hasten to add that the word itself in the context I used it IS NOT ACTUALLY A SWEAR.

I get that you're not permitted to swear in forum posts, but restricting language in people's personal messages is something I have never come across before (and I root admin a couple of Invision boards and have posted on many others).

There does not see to be a way to enable for the forums and disable for PM. Can you let me know where that setting is?

Yeah there's zero logic there.

Also it doesn't allow ####### - the scientific word for the male anatomy. Sigh...

The admin is interested in $$$$$$, less so in community development.
