That's a non-answer. This isn't the bloody oracle at Delphi. It's a message board.

Are you sure? "You mean you want to marry someone from that country?! You will be scammed and they will vanish as soon as you complete AOS". There are plenty on here who would place themselves as the Oracle of relationships

And no, the site isn't moderated in fair or transparent manner. And no, noone cares.

Well, I care that a response to a support ticket is promised, "usually within 24 hours", and none is given within a week.

Better to overtly scrap the so-called "support system" than to lie to people.

..but why *was* it banned? I guess if I stressed the second syllable of the word it could be considered a bad word.. I am truly curious as to why it was banned in the first place.

I don't believe it.. Prove it to me and I still won't believe it. -Ford Prefect

This notion that certain topics are off limits is inappropriate and in violation of the Terms of Service. If there are users making racist statements or other issues, they can be thread banned. But to ban an entire topic for users following the rules seems to be interfering with the enjoyment of the forum by regular users.

I don't know why banning trouble-makers from threads seems to have been replaced with outright thread locks. I was one of the members who awhile back suggested that we have thread bans as a remedy to locking up threads that otherwise are good topics of discussion.

I am curious why the word Chicom is considered offensive. It is used by the world at large as it is easier to use then to spell out the whole word? If we say Chinese then that is saying that all in that country when we re talking about government actions. It is stunning to many here that this action is being taken.

Kathyrn came and fixed it all up. We are good to go now. Just type it all out so there can be no misunderstandings. Than you Kathyrn for coming and explaining it all to us regular members. You rock.

Maybe Krikit can fix this issue as well.

 I will respect Kathryn's wishes. I know it is hard herding cats. I will no longer pursue this topic, as silly as it seems.

They just broadcast this movies on PBS. It was the first time I saw it:
