My husband lives in new york he had his fingerprint done on october 7 nd lastnite I heard sum good news.. He got his interview letter yesterday!!!!! So u guyz might be up now

Got done with my interview yesterday in Casper, WY and the officer upon mine request scheduled an oath in Denver for the 19th. Since Wyoming has oath ceremonies twice a year only and I am about to move to Texas.

This is unbelievable guys, a NYC september filer got his interview scheduled already and we are still stuck here, this is really outrageous. Feels like they dumped us in hole and forgot about us!!!

This is unbelievable guys, a NYC september filer got his interview scheduled already and we are still stuck here, this is really outrageous. Feels like they dumped us in hole and forgot about us!!!

My wife's interview is this Friday, so things aren't completely stuck. Obviously that's not much consolation to you, but I suggest you contact your representative and ask them to help you. Our case has been stuck twice before and both times our congressman's office helped us out and got the case moving within a month.

Sonia had her interview this morning and passed. She arrived at 10:25 for a 10:30 appointment. She was seen at 10:35 and was out with her approval at 11:30. The interviewer was an elderly gentlemen who was very kind and reassuring when he saw how nervous she was. One of the things was to give her directions to his office to see if she understood. He only asked six questions because she answered them all correctly. They were: For how many years are representatives elected?, How many voting members in the House of Representatives?, Who was the first President?, Who is Chief Justice of the Supreme Court? Name a war the US fought int he 1900s. What month do we vote for President?

The reading was When do we vote for President?, and the writing was We vote for President in November.

He asked for the past three years income tax returns and said that was a common cause of rescheduling for people who forgot them. We took both the returns and the IRS Form 1722.

He also wanted proof of residence from this year so she showed him our real estate tax bill with both our names.

Swearing in is for Friday the 16th at 1:00PM.

Hey, where does it say that you need to bring income tax returns and proof of residence? Our interview letter just says about marriage certificate, naturalization certificate of the citizen spouse, an ID, a passport, green card, and the letter itself.

I'd just relax for now, there are NYC filers ahead of us too. You just gotta be patient I guess.

Sorry guyz just saw the questions! Well he filed august 9 pd is august 15 he went for prints october 7 2011, nd he was sent rfe in november n he sent all the required docs nd he got interview letter dec 5 2011 nd schedule for the 23 of this mnth which is next week! He lives in bronx new york

Earlier I posted in the October filers thread (I found the thread through google and I didn't realize the name of the thread).

I am in Fairfax County, VA and my status has been at "in line for interview scheduling" since October 24, 2011. I am not sure if it's the VA (Dallas Lockbox) or if it's "special treatment" for me because of my country of origin or just random luck :) I am thinking it shouldn't have to do with extra scrutiny because of my origin because if that was the case the status should have said something about "background check," right? I think my process is beyond the fingerprints and background check, am I right? Or do they work on the background check when the status says "in line for interview scheduling?"

Sent my N-400 08/29/2011

797 Receipt dated 09/06/2011

Fingerprints 10/13/2011

in line for interv. 10/24/2011

No update as of 12/14/2011

Hello everyone, and especially to delayed New York filers,

I am starting to make sense of the delay we are experiencing, USCIS has officially closed the Garden City field office this month and they are moving to 27-35 Jackson avenue, Long island city in queens NY. the facility will open its doors starting January. So I believe we've been caught in the middle of USCIS moving from one facility to another, which I hope will be resolved by next month. In one way it is a good thing for me since the new office is 5 minutes from where I live here in Astoria, I just hope they schedule my interview there!!.
