Gathering supporting docs for I-134

Hello everyone,

I'm gathering my financial info now. Along with my I-134, I'm submitting a letter from my employer, at least 3 pay stubs, and 3 years of federal tax returns and W2's. Upon researching about transcripts, it sounds like they're preferred, so I decided to order all of them for the last 3 years as well. They were faxed within 30 minutes or so. Is it now necessary to also include copies of my 1040's and W2's or would that be overkill? Probably wouldn't hurt.

Also, since the petitioner's are required to send these to our fiance(e), can I cross out my SS# on this paperwork? They already have it from my I-129F package. And in regards to sending all original documents from the I-129F, have people sent their birth certificates? I'm sure others are concerned about this, but it has to be done.

If you ordered your tax transcripts I would only send those and not your w-2's and 1040's. The tax transcripts show you actually paid your taxes, the embassy does take the w-2's with your 1040. I sent in the filled out I-134 with last 6 months pay stubs, the last 3 years tax transcripts along with a letter from my employer. I do not think you need the last 6 months pay stubs but I sent them. I never crossed out my SS# on the tax transcripts. When I sent in the I-129f I sent in a color copy of my birth certificate, I never sent in the original. Good luck. Hope that helps you.

Without the SSN on the tax transcript how could a person verify that it was yours? All of your personal info is already in the files. Send it to your fiancee through FedEx/DHL/UPS.

I will send my pay stubs, maybe a few months worth as opposed to the 3 I stated. I'll keep the SS# then, as they could think something is going on. You never know. I think the embassy is more about the beneficiary at the interview except for the I-134 and its supporting documents, the proof of on going relationship, and a new signed and dated intent to marry of entering the US in 90 days. If you plan on being in Thailand for the interview then I would say yes give your passport for the beneficiary to take to the interview. I am curious to hear what other people think/or have done in the past about the originals of the petitioner for the interview.

Yes, a very good point. Guess I'm just thinking of sending more items through the mail system. But I've had very good luck with USPS. When I've sent packages, they've been received by my fiancee in as little as 6 days.

Ok, I see now. I know I've read posts before somewhere where the petitioners are nervous about sending their original BC. I would be curious to know other peoples thoughts too. I won't send mine though. You're right, they're more concerned with the beneficiary now. They have a good color copy in my I 129F, plus I'm sending a copy of the entire package to May as well. I won't be going to the interview, but I might make a color copy of my passport and send it. I already included a copy of the ingoing and outgoing page in the 129F, though I might include the page with my picture this time. It can't hurt.
