What's in Your Sealed Brown Envelop?

I'm curious what's in everyone's sealed brown envelop with their visa?

I looked through the cutout of my fiancee's consulate-issued package to make sure it's ours and was surprised to see my EOR!!

My EOR was the first thing on the stack of what looks like forms I filled out.

My EOR went with my I-129F, so I'm glad it made it all the way to the consulate and now coming back to the USA :)

Magical popcorn :pop: it's yummy...

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

Its everything that your I-129F is and has added to it. It is your case file.

I saw mine at POE when he took it all out to put it in the system.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Thanks, that's good to know. I wonder if my I-134 is in there too. My fiancee said the guy took everything she gave him at the document in-take. I guess I'll find out at our POE. :)

It's the entire casefile.

Having it in her hands from now till POE event serves 2 purposes -

1. she's a documents courier for USCIS

2. succintly marks her entry into the USA, as she's handing the casefile to a CBP officer.

Don't sweat anything that you might be able to see in the envelope. It's the entire casefile, from the time you submitted the I-129F into USCIS, any stuff from NVC, any stuff from GUZ IV, sometimes (unsure if all times) includes the casefile notes from the reviewing Visa Officer and Consular Official at GUZ IV.

Good Luck with the Pond Jump !!

Thanks Darnell,

I was very surprised that the first thing I saw in the brown envelop was my EOR when I took a peek to make sure it's our package.

At document in-take, the male Chinese staffer took everything my fiancee gave him including letters from my family and her family. He took my 3-year tax transcripts, copies of my W-2's, 8 months of pay stubs, letter from my realtor stating I purchased a house 2 years ago, etc. So I'm guessing our package is thicker than most without any "magical popcorn" or "shopping receipts" or "bigfoot pictures" etc

I'm going to be with my fiancee at the POE. I'll go through the non-citizen line with her at SFO, so hopefully I'll get to see for myself what's inside the package :)
