Hi guys!

Well, I have some doubts about the CR-1. I started my visa process, by filling the I-130 form in SP, Brazil on July 11th 2011.

I know it still early, but I haven't heard anything from them. I'd like to know how long do they take to tell us if it was approved or not, and how long do they take to send us the package?

The girl in SP told me to start downloading the forms that I'll need in Rio de Janeiro, and I've filled the I-864 already, and I have all the proofs for the sponsor thing already done. The rest that I have to do is go to the doctor and the police to ask for my backgrounds.

So, I also would like to know if when they send me the package, if I have everything done and send the things back to them around september they will schedule my interview around october/november?

You are several months away from having to submit the I-864, medical. police report and so forth, so PLEASE read the guides and time lines at the top of this page before you start wringing your hands.

Did you DCF? IN other words did you file your I-130 in Brazil at the Embassy? YOu might be closer than several months.

However, DCF can vary from country to coutry so you might want to post your question in the Latin America forum.

I started the petition in my country in the consulate in SP and then they send it to SP.

p.s: sorry if I posted in the wrong forum guys! I'm new here, and I'm still learning, but thank you for the answers.

Please play nice Mah......name calling on a forum where people are trying to help you is counterproductive. You've got to learn to glean the wisdom from the good answers because no one is always 100% right all the time. Just cut people slack as they are just trying to help. Congrats on your NOA2 and upcoming interview.

I know that we are here to help each other, I wasn't mean because they gave me the wrong answer or something, but because they were rude about how they said it.

Sorry if I offended anybody else, I didn't mean to be offensive with other people.
