My mom petitioned for me in 2009. The october I turned 21 but the cspa froze at age 20. My issue is that in Dec 2010 imy case was completed at nvc and I was expecting an interview in Feb 2011. Unfortunately retrogression surfaced and hey I'm back in the backseat of the car. September will be my last year of school and I hope that ill get my interview in atleast february so I can go up to start school. Just want to know if they're anybody here that is waiting for their interview in the same category in Jamaica. ( Would really use some company, it sucks having to wait gosh)

Thanks in advance guys. Y'all are very helpful and gives me hope.

no she isnt. she is a lpr. my case has been completed and im here waiting to go to my interview. Hope your case is completed soon.

Your case seemed to have been current in October or November 2011. You or mother should contact the NVC. Reminding them that your case is current AND would you can expect to receive notice about the medical and interview. Due to retro... it's likely they are just in the slow scheduling of your case with the others before you .. but still the way i see it.. your interview should be in Jan/Feb. 2012.

Yes rick I was thinking my file is at vermont now if I upgrade a petition to cr1 from f2a will the time startin counting frm wen I upgrade or will it count frm the time I filed to approve at vermont??

When you say time "start counting" are you asking if the priority date is reset..?

The priority date will not be reset any any point or change of visa type being requested. Should your case be upgraded while AT USCIS.. the only thing that would change is the case "type." The proof to change the case type is likely to be requested by mail.. or if you're lucky then by email. Once confirmed as received i'd allow them a week to review the document (if that long) and change the case from F2A to CR1. If it is pass the processing time frame I'd ask for a service request to get some action going. Once at the NVC the case type will be tranf. as CR1 but you might need to confirm with the info in the correspondences you'll receive.

Ok thanx((( much)))) how do I do this service request thing?

the petitioner has to call and explain that the case is outside of the processing time frame (if it is) and let them know you would like further info on it. When u call ask to be transferred to a tier 2 officer.
