Hi everyone,

I had my AOS interview today in Atlanta and I was asked asked how I have been working without a work permit. The IO proceeded with the interview and said everything is in order except working without permit. Long story short, we were neither approved nor denied and were told that I will have to get a work permit waiver before we can proceed. My spouse(Us citizen) and I are really worried because we dont what to expect next.

I would really appreciate any help on what to expect and if I have to go through my employer to process the work permit waiver. The IO also kept my original I-94, dont know if thats a good sign or not.

Thanks

Ours was at 11 too. I just read your post and I think we saw you. We are from Alabama(Birmingham) too. Congratulations on getting approved, we are still waiting for ours.

Hi jbbig321,

I have just checked the online status and it's on "card/document production" and my I-130 is approved. What had me worried is our IO told us that I'll need a waiver since I worked without a work permit. I dont what to think but I got my fingers crossed and hoping for the best.
